Wreck-It Ralph (R. Moore, 2012)

Wreck-It Ralph (Rich Moore, 2012)

This more or less does exactly what Toy Story did only with video games, but I liked it! A tale of identity crisis and friendship set it the land of an old-fashioned arcade. Ralph struggles with the lack of acceptance by the other characters in his game which kicks of his funny but sad adventure to gain their approval. I couldn’t help but wonder where the story was headed as his initial mission was very obviously not going to bring him the acceptance he sought. But when he meets a character from another game and they begin to form a friendship, everything falls into place nicely including an entertaining plot revelation. Wreck-It Ralph is fun, but it has heart too.  7.5/10
