Total Recall (Verhoeven, 1990)

Total Recall (Paul Verhoeven, 1990)

This one will be short. Total Recall is definitely an entertaining piece of sci-fi/action. Its best quality is that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. It’s really just a good time and a fun plot mixed with ridiculous over-the-top (yet appreciated) performances. Despite much use of horrid blue screen, the atmosphere and mood do give a realistic feeling of a futuristic, dystopian-esque world. No, this isn’t great, but it’s sure worth watching.  7/10

  1. I think my favorite part is the gruesome puppet living on the guy’s stomach. I think that’s in this movie. Total awesomeness.

  2. It was a good Sunday night watch – although I will have to admit that I think it could have contributed to my later in the week nightmares…
